Pilgrimage and Spirituality

Life transforming journeys.
A journey in search of God and a personal encounter with God.
A journey of faith and sharing.
It is the journey of your life!

Pilgrimage is common to all the major world religions. It is one of the most ancient forms of human travel.

At the root of many religions we find a foundational journey: Abraham towards the promised land; Muhammad from Medina to Mecca; Buddha to Bodh Gaya; and Moses to Mount Sinai.

At the heart of the Christian experience are the places that marked the passage of Son of God on earth. In the Gospel according to Saint Luke we read about Jesus: “Now as the time drew near for him to be taken up to heaven, he resolutely took the road for Jerusalem” (Luke 9,51). From that point, the narration of the life of Jesus appears as a pilgrimage to encounter the resurrection in Jerusalem.

Christian pilgrimage is following the footsteps of Jesus in the Holy Land and the places marked by the Bible and the lives of the Saints.

The millions of pilgrims who embark upon the Holy Journey each year can be describe in the words of the prophet Isaiah: “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who heralds peace, brings happiness, proclaims salvation and tells Zion,«Your God is King!»” (Isaiah 52,7-8).

A pilgrimage is a life transforming experience that opens new horizons, gives fresh air to the spirit.

A pilgrimage will draw you into the heart of a religious experience that allows you to walk through nature, places and people and finally arrive at a profound encounter with God!
