“I like cycling because it is not only a sport. In cycling no one lose, everyone wins: who gets better, who discovers to climb a peak in less time than the previous year, who cries to get to the top, who laughs for a joke of his companion, who is never tired, who clenches his teeth, who does not give up, who does not lose the hope, who never feels alone. We are all a family, no one will be never forget. Who greet you, while you are climbing a mountain, even for the first time, and tells you that “is over”, don’t give up”
This is cycling for me”

These pools were dug 2000 years ago by the Nabateans in order to collect rainwater for irrigation of agricultural fields. After lunch we will descend further to the vicinity of Mount Arkov an ancient sacred place with many burial mounds (tumulus), sanctuaries and an abundance of Neolithic period petroglyphs.
At the end of the day we will arrive at the agricultural fields that flourished and supported the city of Ovdat during the Nabatean period. Here a few Bedouin families live in the same way as they did many centuries ago. We will visit some families to experience their way of life and have a traditional Bedouin meal around the camp fire. The night will be spent in one of the family tents to enable us to enjoy the abundance of stars in the sky and the cool desert air.

After reaching the Hatira crater with its amazing viewpoint we will continue to the west through the thriving Wadi Haztatz famous for its profusion of colorful desert flowers as well as poppies, daffodils and Tulips.
